Major's Sister Pleads Guilty To $9M Iraq Contracts Plot

Law360, New York (March 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A woman whose brother accepted $9 million in bribes while a U.S. Army officer in charge of awarding contracts for troop services in the Iraq War has pled guilty for her part in a money-laundering conspiracy to handle proceeds from the scheme, making her the third defendant to cop to the plot.

Sunnyvale, Texas, resident Carolyn Blake pled guilty Wednesday to one count of money laundering conspiracy in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas before Magistrate Judge John W. Primo.
