Atty In Bias Suits V. FedEx Sanctioned For Conduct

Law360, New York (March 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has slapped a plaintiffs lawyer who prevailed in three employment suits against FedEx Corp. with $25,000 in sanctions after the attorney allegedly lied to the court in pursuit of a $2 million cut of the winnings.

In an order Thursday, Judge Susan Illston of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California sanctioned attorney Waukeen McCoy, who represented workers in discrimination cases against the delivery company.
