'Idol' Producer Sued For 'Sweatshop' Work Conditions

Law360 (March 20, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Former employees of reality television production company Fremantle Media North America Inc. and several affiliates — which handle shows including “American Idol” — have filed a putative class action accusing the companies of a litany of labor law violations, including failure to pay overtime or provide required breaks.
