Law360, Los Angeles (May 31, 2017, 10:23 PM EDT) -- TiVo's Rovi Corp. has so far succeeded in asserting two of six digital video recording and interactive guide patents against Comcast Corp. and video equipment companies at the U.S. International Trade Commission, according to a notice from an administrative law judge.
Rovi, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of TiVo Corp., and Rovi Guides Inc. filed the ITC complaint in April 2016 alleging Comcast and equipment manufacturers Arris International PLC, Technicolor SA and their affiliates infringed its patents with digital video receivers like set-top boxes and associated interactive program guides.
