Louis Vuitton Says It's Not Like A Patent Troll

By Bill Donahue (June 13, 2017, 6:39 PM EDT) -- Louis Vuitton Malletier SA is pushing back on demands that it pay $800,000 in attorneys' fees after unsuccessfully suing a small company over parody bags, saying it's "simply incorrect" to compare the fashion house to a patent troll.

The filing came in response to a request from the producer of "My Other Bag" — cheap canvas totes decorated with cartoon imagery of high-end bags from Louis Vuitton. The designer sued the small company for infringement, but the Second Circuit ruled last year that the totes were legal parody.

In asking for fees, My Other Bag called Louis Vuitton a "trademark bully"...
