Xerox Workers Push $51M Deal In ERISA Action

Law360, New York (March 25, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A class of plaintiffs accusing Xerox Corp. of breach of fiduciary duty has urged a federal judge to approve a proposed $51 million settlement that would bring the long-running benefits action to a close.

The settlement was preliminarily approved in January in the the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.

The plaintiffs — current and former participants and beneficiaries of the company's benefits plan — accuse the Xerox Savings Plan of breach of fiduciary duty in violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act...
