Judge Modifies Comair Stay To Allow Insurance Claim

Law360, New York (August 30, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal bankruptcy judge has ruled that a woman who claimed she was injured on a shuttle bus owned by Delta Airline subsidiary Comair can proceed in her insurance case against the carrier, but said any damages awarded must be recovered by the airline’s insurance carrier.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Adlai S. Hardin, Jr. agreed last Thursday to modify the terms of an automatic stay that is in place while the bankruptcy proceedings of Delta/Comair are ongoing.
