Deals Rumor Mill: Siemens, Orange, IKB

By Benjamin Horney (June 29, 2017, 3:57 PM EDT) -- Siemens AG and Bombardier Inc. may look to establish two rail joint ventures as part of the planned merger of their rail operations, according to a Thursday report from Bloomberg. According to the report, the companies are exploring multiple options, one of which would see the creation of separate joint ventures for their rolling stock operations and their signaling businesses. In that scenario, Bombardier would control the rolling stock JV, with Siemens in control of the signaling one. Reports in April said the two companies were struggling to come to an agreement because each side wanted to keep control of the merged entity....
