Charter Seeks To Protect Workers In Face Of Ch. 11

Law360 (March 27, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Charter Communications Inc., the nation’s fourth-largest cable provider, plunged into Chapter 11 protection Friday with a slew of first-day motions that included a bid for court authorization to pay out prepetition employment-related obligations to its approximately 16,500 employees while it restructures more than $8 billion of debt.
