Diddy's Co. Reaches Deal In IP Suit Over Instagram Photo
Law360, Los Angeles (July 7, 2017, 7:22 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Friday dismissed a copyright infringement suit against Sean "Diddy" Combs’ record company alleging it illegally used a photographer’s picture of the hip-hop star on Combs’ Instagram account, after the photographer notified the court that a settlement had been reached.
U.S. District Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein signed an order Friday closing the case.
“A suggestion of settlement having been made, this case is dismissed,” the judge wrote. “If the settlement is not consummated within 30 days of this order, or an authorized enlarged date, either party may apply by letter for restoration of the action.”...
