GNC Can't Shake Consumer's Suit Over Glutamine Labels

Law360, Los Angeles (July 19, 2017, 6:34 PM EDT) -- GNC lost its bid to nix a putative class action from consumers alleging misleading glutamine supplement labels after a Florida federal judge Wednesday said the lead plaintiff can rely on scientific studies to back his claims the products don’t work as promised.

Lead plaintiff Sean Wagner filed suit in November accusing General Nutrition Corp. of using misleading labels on its glutamine supplements that claim the products enhance muscle formation or aid workout recovery, despite scientific studies that suggest otherwise.
