TSA Workers Denied Class Cert. In Privacy Act Case

Law360 (March 31, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has declined to grant class certification to a group of U.S. Transportation Security Administration employees who sued their employer after an external hard drive holding personal information went missing.

Class certification cannot be granted in the case because the plaintiffs are only seeking monetary relief, Judge Henry H. Kennedy Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia said in his opinion Monday.
