Widow Sues NJ Medical Facilities Over Husband's Bedsores

Law360, Camden (July 21, 2017, 6:24 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey hospital and two rehabilitation facilities have been slapped with a medical malpractice complaint in state court by a woman claiming her husband, who had undergone spinal surgery, developed serious bedsores that led to his death last year.

In a complaint filed July 6 in Camden County Superior Court, Hazel Patrick alleges that Virtua Health, Care One LLC and Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation, which operates Marlton Rehabilitation Hospital, caused or contributed to the death of Alfonzer Patrick. He was operated on in January 2016 and died three months later, according to the suit.
