GM Can't Sue Asbestos Trust For Wrongful Death Contribution

Law360, New York (July 25, 2017, 9:41 PM EDT) -- A New York bankruptcy judge ruled Monday that General Motors LLC cannot bring suit against an asbestos trust to recover funds paid to the widow of a former employee to settle asbestos exposure claims due to a longstanding "channeling injunction" that bars exposure litigation.
