EU High Court Affirms €10M Fine V. France Telecom

Law360, New York (April 2, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Europe's highest court has upheld a €10.35 million ($13.9 million) fine by the European Commission against France Telecom SA for allegedly shutting competitors out of the high-speed Internet sector.

The European Court of Justice on Thursday affirmed an earlier decision by the European Court of First Instance, which dismissed France Telecom's bid to annul the fine in 2007.
