Northwest Escapes Patent Suit Without A Payment

Law360 (April 6, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two patent holders have agreed to drop a case in which they accused Northwest Airlines Inc. of infringing their intellectual property for broadcast technology that helps to track aircraft, in a deal that saw no money exchange hands.

In a joint stipulation for dismissal signed Monday by Judge Barbara B. Crabb of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, all of plaintiff Mark Eberwine's claims regarding one patent were dismissed with prejudice.
