Gap Wins Out In Job Applicant's Data Breach Action

Law360 (April 7, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Finding that a Gap Inc. job applicant failed to support a negligence claim in a putative class action accusing the retail giant and outsourcing company Vangent Inc. of losing 750,000 job applicants' personal data, a federal judge has granted summary judgment in favor of Gap and Vangent.
