Flaming Chicken Boxes Prompt KFC To Sue Supplier

Law360, New York (April 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- KFC U.S. Properties Inc. has fired off a liability and breach of contract lawsuit against one of its packaging suppliers, accusing Texas-based Paris Packaging Inc. of using high-carbon ink in containers for chicken that ignited when microwaved.

The lawsuit, filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, accuses the supplier of making an unsafe change in the ink used to print graphics on KFC's Popcorn Chicken containers.
