TransPerfect's Shawe Alleges Custodian Made Threats
By Jeff Montgomery (September 5, 2017, 6:17 PM EDT) -- TransPerfect Global co-founder Philip Shawe has sued Delaware court-appointed custodian Robert B. Pincus for allegedly warning that Shawe could be barred from bidding for TransPerfect or competing with it after its forced sale, claiming the sanctions threats are unconstitutional.
Shawe's attorneys filed a civil rights and Supremacy Clause complaint against Pincus, a Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP partner, in New York federal court Friday, asserting four claims of First, Fifth or 14th Amendment violations along with the Supremacy Clause claim.
