State Bills Attack Texas High Court Asbestos Ruling

Law360, New York (April 9, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Texas lawmakers have launched an offensive against a ruling by the state's highest court that forces product liability plaintiffs in asbestos injury cases to prove the exact level of exposure they had to the toxic substance.

Almost two years after the Texas Supreme Court made it more difficult for plaintiffs in asbestos injury litigation in the Lone Star State, bills sponsored by a state Democrat and a Republican are wending their way through the legislature.
