GM Recalls 1.5M Vehicles Over Engine Oil Leak

Law360 (April 14, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Troubled auto giant General Motors Corp. is pulling 1.5 million vehicles equipped with 3.8-liter V6 engines from the market due to a condition in which drops of engine oil may be deposited on the exhaust manifold through hard braking, potentially causing an engine fire.

Vehicles affected in the recall are the 1997-2003 Buick Regal, the 1998-2003 Chevrolet Lumina, the Monte Carlo and Impala, the 1998-1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue, and the 1997-2003 Pontiac Grand Prix, according to a notice Monday on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Web...
