Rattner Linked To NY Pension Fund Kickback Probe

Law360 (April 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The head of Obama's auto task force is reportedly connected to an investigation into an alleged pay-for-play scheme involving New York state's pension fund.

Sources with knowledge of the investigation told the New York Times that an individual described in an amended complaint filed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday as a “senior executive” at Quadrangle Group LLC, Steven Rattner's former investment firm, was Rattner himself.
