Starwood Sues Hilton Over Trade Secrets Theft

Law360 (April 17, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. has accused two of its former executives of stealing massive amounts of confidential information that was later used to develop a new luxury hotel chain at rival Hilton Hotels Corp., which the executives joined last summer.

The lawsuit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, includes claims against the two executives — Ross Klein and Amar Lalvani — as well as Hilton itself for corporate espionage, theft of trade secrets and unfair competition,...
