Tower Automotive Creditors Appeal Labor Agreement

Law360, New York (September 7, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Tower Automotive Inc.’s creditors have appealed a bankruptcy judge’s recent approval of the settlement between the bankrupt auto parts maker and two of its unions to cut labor costs.

This is the second time that Tower’s creditors have appealed a settlement between the company and the unions.

On Aug. 30, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Allan Gropper in the Southern District of New York gave the green light to Tower’s settlement deal with the United Auto Workers and the International Union of Electric Workers/ Communications Workers of America,...
