Law360, New York (October 23, 2017, 4:19 PM EDT) -- Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP has picked up one of New York's best known non-BigLaw-affiliated defense lawyers, Alex Spiro, from defense litigation boutique Brafman & Associates.
The announcement came Monday that Spiro would depart Brafman for the 720-lawyer Quinn Emanuel, where he'll continue his practice representing high-profile criminal defendants, including corporate defendants, celebrities and less obvious clients like Pedro Hernandez, the teenager held at Riker's Island for more than a year on charges he was linked to a shooting, unable to make a $250,000 bail.
