Sonos Patents Picked Over Rival's For Trial Over Audio IP

Law360, New York (October 23, 2017, 8:49 PM EDT) -- A judge on Monday sided with speaker manufacturer Sonos in determining what kinds of wireless speaker patents will be the focus of an upcoming trial against rival Denon in Delaware federal court, saying that Sonos' choices would be less "cumbersome" for proceedings in which multiple patents are at stake.

​​U.S. Circuit Judge William Bryson, who's overseeing the case, ordered the parties weeks ago to pick either two patents or three, if two of those have the same specification, to focus on at trial. Each side picked three, though two of their choices were the same.
