DOD To Remove Kaspersky Products From Its Systems

Law360, Nashville (October 24, 2017, 3:42 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Defense said Monday it is reviewing its systems to find and remove any AO Kaspersky Lab products after a directive had been issued to civilian agencies citing potential security risks from alleged links between Kaspersky officials and the Russian government.

Although the U.S. Department of Homeland Security directive issued in September, giving federal civilian agencies 90 days to implement plans to stop using Kaspersky software, was not binding on the DOD, the department nonetheless intends to “follow the intent” of the directive...
