Artforum Sued For Sex Harassment As Co-Publisher Resigns

By Kat Greene (October 25, 2017, 11:28 PM EDT) -- Knight Landesman, who's been a publisher of the influential Artforum magazine for nearly three decades, resigned Wednesday after a former employee alleged in a New York state lawsuit he'd sexually harassed her and other young women in the art world for years.

Amanda Schmitt accused Artforum International Magazine Inc. and Landesman, a co-publisher and powerful figure in the art community, of retaliating against her professionally when she voiced her objections to his advances, which included sexually explicit emails and text messages, as well as several instances in which Landesman groped her in public at professional events, according to the suit.
