DHS Says Most Agencies On Track To Cut Kaspersky Products
By Daniel Wilson (October 30, 2017, 4:52 PM EDT) -- Most federal agencies are on track to timely find and remove Kaspersky Lab products from their information systems in response to concerns about potential security risks, with less than half having identified Kaspersky products on their systems so far, a U.S. Department of Homeland Security official said Friday.
The "vast majority" of federal agencies have identified any use of AO Kaspersky Lab products on their systems within the 30-day deadline specified by a Sep. 13 binding operational directive issued by DHS, the agency's Federal Network Resilience Division chief Michael Duffy told reporters Friday outside a federal information security advisory board meeting....
