GM Investors Sue In Del. For Emissions Compliance Records

Law360, Wilmington (November 6, 2017, 6:58 PM EST) -- Citing allegations that General Motors Co. installed Volkswagen-style emissions control “defeat” devices on some diesel vehicles, GM shareholders sued in Delaware Chancery Court on Monday for access to records on corporate duty compliance and said damage claims could follow.

The suit, filed by two individuals and a private trust, invokes stockholder rights to inspect company books and records under a section of Delaware’s corporation law.
