Pair Of FCA Suits Against Lockheed Martin Units Consolidated

By Dani Kass (November 7, 2017, 6:38 PM EST) -- A Wisconsin federal judge on Monday consolidated two False Claims Act suits accusing two Lockheed Martin units of jacking up the costs of thousands of replacement aircraft parts, finding that both whistleblower cases backed by the government raise common concerns.

U.S. District Judge Lynn S. Adelman said that the two cases against Sikorsky Support Services Inc. and Derco Aerospace Inc. have similar questions of law and fact, making it practical and judicially efficient to consolidate them. Federal prosecutors, relators and the defendants jointly requested the consolidation on Nov. 1.
