2 Ex-SBM Execs Cop To FCPA Charges In Petrobras Scheme

Law360, New York (November 9, 2017, 10:17 PM EST) -- Two former oil executives of the Dutch oil company SBM Offshore NV have pled guilty in Texas federal court to a conspiracy to violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act for their roles in a scheme to bribe government officials in Brazil, Angola and Equatorial Guinea, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Thursday.

Former Chief Executive Officer Anthony "Tony" Mace and marketing executive Robert Zubiate admitted that they paid bribes to win bids with state-run oil companies, including Brazil's Petrobras, according to the DOJ.
