Justice Kagan Steps Back From Immigrant Detention Case

Law360, New York (November 13, 2017, 10:03 PM EST) -- Justice Elena Kagan has taken herself off a high-profile case over immigrant detention, according to a letter filed with the U.S. Supreme Court on Friday, after it was discovered that she greenlighted a filing in the case while she was solicitor general.
