Antitrust Suit Against Clear Channel, Law Firm Tossed

Law360, New York (April 28, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has dismissed a lawsuit accusing Clear Channel Communications Inc., Live Nation Inc. and the law firm Cowan Liebowitz & Latman PC of scheming to misappropriate a confidential business model and use it to lock out rivals, ruling the plaintiff failed to state an antitrust claim.

Judge Barbara S. Jones of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissed inventor Amy R. Gurvey's Sherman Act and state competition law claims against all defendants on Friday.
