Law360, Washington (December 1, 2017, 11:22 AM EST) -- Michael Flynn, the former national security adviser to President Donald Trump, pled guilty Friday to lying to the FBI about his conversations with Russia's ambassador in December 2016, talks where prosecutors say the retired Army general served as a go-between for “senior” and “very senior” Trump transition officials.
Flynn pled guilty to one count of giving false statements regarding his conversations with Russia’s ambassador Sergey Kislyak. The guilty plea comes with a promise to cooperate with the special counsel in prosecutions against others.
