EPA Raids Ill. Village Over Tainted Water Claims

Law360, New York (April 29, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Agents from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency looking for evidence of environmental crimes executed federal search warrants on Wednesday at government offices in the Village of Crestwood, Ill.

The Chicago suburb is dealing with allegations that residents were provided with well water tainted with toxic chemicals long after state regulators told local officials the well was polluted.
