The executive order points to regulatory complexities and high cost as reasons many small businesses do not offer retirement plans to their employees. By clarifying and expanding the circumstances under which employers can sponsor a MEP, the thought is more people, including part-time and contingent workers, gig workers, sole proprietors, and working owners, will be able to save for retirement....
