Senate Approves Lyft GM For Senior DOT Role

Law360, Washington (November 13, 2017, 8:56 PM EST) -- The Senate confirmed Lyft Inc.'s general manager for the number three spot at the U.S. Department of Transportation on Monday, sending President Donald Trump's pick Derek Kan to head the department's policy arm.

The 90-7 vote Monday gives DOT Secretary Elaine Chao a key official within her department, which still has many vacancies for top posts.
