Chipotle Strikes Deal With Banks Over 2017 Data Breach
Law360 (March 29, 2019, 7:15 PM EDT) -- Chipotle has settled with a proposed class of financial institutions suing the fast-casual Mexican restaurant chain over a 2017 data breach exposing customers' names and debit and credit card numbers to hackers.
Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. and the financial institutions told a Colorado federal court on Thursday they'd reached a confidential settlement agreement on March 25. The putative class action should therefore be dismissed with prejudice, they said in a filing.
