Deals Rumor Mill: Eli Lilly, TransUnion, Quality Care

By Adam Rhodes (April 25, 2018, 9:12 PM EDT) -- Private equity firms Advent International and Bain Capital are eying Eli Lilly and Co.'s animal health business, Bloomberg reported late Tuesday. Citing anonymous sources, Bloomberg reported that the business, Elanco, may also draw interest from The Carlyle Group and a December projection said the unit could be valued at between $14 billion and $16 billion. The report follows Advent's announcement from April 17 that it was in exclusive talks about a potentially €1.9 billion ($2.3 billion) deal for Sanofi SA's European generics unit....
