According to the report, Burkle, also a friend of President Donald Trump, and the tabloid are deep in their talks. Citing anonymous sources, the outlet reported that the tabloid was pushed to a sale amid attention from prosecutors stemming from efforts to help get Trump elected as well as alleged extortion of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos over explicit photos and text messages sent to a romantic partner. An unnamed spokesperson for Burkle reportedly told the New York Post that the investor was not considering buying the tabloid. ...
