No-Show Hotel Tech Co. Liable For Over $40 Million Debt

Law360 (August 20, 2019, 5:43 PM EDT) -- A New York state judge ruled Tuesday that the parent company of hotel technology firm interTouch is on the hook for over $40 million after it failed to appear in court to defend itself.

Justice Barry R. Ostrager entered summary judgment against the parent, ST Holdings LLC, as well as subsidiary interTouch Topco LLC, finding ST in default after it was a no-show at a May hearing. The decision put an end to Gate Worldwide Holdings LLC’s breach of contract case claiming the hotel tech companies failed to pay a nearly $50 million debt on time.
