Grocery retail giant The Kroger Co. and Gilster-Mary Lee Corp. have settled a suit by a Colorado man who had won a landmark $5.8 million award against them after claiming he developed "popcorn lung," an illness allegedly caused by the flavoring in microwave popcorn distributed by Kroger and others.
