CIT Group Inc. will pay ex-owner Tyco International Ltd. $60 million to settle their feud over a tax agreement the pair entered in 2002 stemming from Tyco's sale of all of its CIT shares in a public offering, CIT said in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing Friday.

Tyco International Ltd. moved Friday to compel arbitration with reorganized business lender CIT Group Inc., saying that although a judge ruled for Tyco on a $190 million claim in a tax benefits dispute, CIT continues to fight arbitration.
