DOI To Pay Okla. Tribes $186M In Trust Land Management Row
The U.S. Department of the Interior will pay a combined $186 million to the Choctaw Nation and the Chickasaw Nation to resolve claims the government failed in its responsibility to protect the tribes' trust land, according to a filing in an Oklahoma federal court Friday.
