LensDiscounters.com has asked a Florida federal court to block Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP from filing a separate complaint against retailers in multidistrict litigation that accuses major contact lens makers of conspiring to block price competition for their products, saying the firm is pursuing "implausible" claims merely to stay in the case.

A Florida federal judge overseeing multidistrict litigation accusing Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Inc. and other contact lens manufacturers of artificially inflating prices using unilateral pricing policies on Wednesday appointed Hausfeld LLP, Robins Kaplan LLP and Scott & Scott LLP as co-lead counsel.
