Electric Workers Union Let Out Of $22M Defamation Suit
A Texas federal judge on Wednesday dismissed the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers from a $22 million suit alleging a decadelong conspiracy intended to prevent African-Americans from gaining influence in Beaumont, Texas, adopting a magistrate judge's recommendation that the claims were without merit.
