A North Dakota federal judge on Monday tossed Whiting Petroleum Corp.'s suit accusing the employment regulation arm of the Three Affiliated Tribes of exceeding its authority by imposing a fine for selling crude oil to another non-Native American entity in light of the fact the regulation arm has dismissed the fine altogether.
