Domino's Delivered Less Than Minimum Wage: Driver

Law360 (January 18, 2011, 1:33 PM EST) -- A former Domino's Pizza LLC delivery driver has launched a proposed class action accusing the pizza chain of effectively paying less than minimum wage by forcing drivers to cover for their own gas, maintenance and other vehicle-related expenses.

The pizza chain violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by requiring drivers to use their own vehicles and refusing to pay for all travel expenses, according to a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota filed Friday by Roger Nelson, who delivered pizzas for Domino's between July 2008 and February 2009.
