Whole Foods Hit With Delivery Tips Class Action In NY

Law360, New York (May 22, 2014, 3:11 PM EDT) -- Whole Foods Market Group Inc. was slapped with a proposed class action in New York state court Wednesday alleging the company deprived its delivery staff of tips in violation of state labor law.

Alberto Rivera claims the grocery store chain led customers to believe that a “delivery charge” it automatically tacked on when dropping off food was going to its delivery people, when all such charges actually went to the company.
